OPERATIONS

Grants Manager - Handle all aspects of the grants process (research, write, manage, schedule, and follow up). Must be able to gather, analyze, and synthesize information and prepare coherent and compelling materials including proposals, reports and letters. Must have proven grant experience, excellent writing skills with ability to communicate effectively, proficiency in MS Word, Excel or comparable spreadsheet program, and organizational, and research skill. Position requires approximately 4-5 hours a week. Can work from home.

Fundraising Manager - Highly motivated fundraiser with demonstrated experience in the field. Responsibilities includes raising funds from donors and prospects. Must have experience in identifying, cultivating and soliciting gifts (including auction items) from individuals through regular written, oral, or personal contacts, gatherings, house parties, ask events, black ties, and/or other strategies. Must show outstanding writing, communication, strategizing, team building, and relationship skills. Position requires approximately 5 hours per week on a regular basis and approximately 8 hours a week prior to annual fundraising event.

Fundraising Assistant - Assist Fundraising Manager in all aspects of fundraising particularly with correspondence (donation forms, auction item requests, thank you's, etc...). Must have experience in MS Word and Excel or comparable spreadsheets program. Position requires approximately 2 hours a week on a regular basis and approximately 4 hours a week prior to annual fundraising event.

Auction Item Coordinator (Seasonal) - Organize all aspects of collecting and organizing auction items for fundraising events. Includes data entry, correspondence and communication with donors, and item collection and tagging. Must know MS Word and Excel or comparable and must show excellent record keeping and organization skills. Position requires approximately 4 - 5 hours/wk. Usually Jan, Feb & March.

Direct Mail Coordinator - Handle mailing of quarterly newsletters, invitations and flyers, etc. Print address labels and prepare outgoing mass mailing. Prior experience very helpful but not necessary. Position requires approximately 2 days per month or on a need basis.

AWOL Retreat Guest Manager - Handle all aspects of guest attending our retreats including data entry, answering all guest questions regarding retreat, data entry (entering guest information), organizing respective information in several report formats, scheduling guests to workshops and room assignments, writing and mailing guest correspondence before and after retreat (eg: includes instruction packages). Position requires 3 hours per month on a regular basis and 4-5 hours per week in April, May, August & September.

Special Secrets Volunteers - Need several volunteers to organize special surprises for our retreats. Must have either attended or volunteered in past retreats. Must demonstrate ability tobe persistant. Further information on this will require a phone call to the above contact.

General Office - Assist Executive Director in all aspects of organization particularly in special projects. Must know MS Word and Excel or comparable spreadsheet and must possess an attitude of whatever it takes to get the job done. Requires 3 to 4 hours a week.

Exhibition Volunteers - Need volunteers to man booth during exhibition events such as Susan G. Koman Race for the Cure and more. Must learn to set-up and to man booths so that there is constant personnel to answer questions. Will train. Position entails attending 5 to 6 shows per year and growing. Two or three volunteers needed to share the amount of time at shows.
