Francine Carrier-Zorehkey Francine Zorehkey, Ph.D., is the Executive Director of From Chrysalis to Wings Psychotherapy and Research Center. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology at SDSU, is a graduate of Antioch University, Los Angeles with a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology, and has received her Ph.D. in Psychology at Southern California University for Professional Studies. Dr. Zorehkey is in charge of all operations and has created the program A.W.O.L. designed specifically for women who have breast cancer. Outside of the organization she serves as Membership Chair to the Orange County Breast Cancer Coalition and is a cancer support group facilitator at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital. She has served on the board of directors for Orange County-California Association of Marriage and Family Therapist as Intern Representative and is a member of the American Psychological Association, the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapist, as well as Orange County Chapter of CAMFT, Orange County Wellness and the Orange County Breast Cancer Coalition.

Anna Lisa Johnston Anna Lisa Johnston has over thirteen years experience in the not-for-profit sector, working for organizations such as the Gemological Institute of America, The Los Angeles Philharmonic, and The American Film Institute. Spending most of her years at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), Johnston held the position of Associate Campaign Director and was responsible for raising funds through annual and major gifts, as well as sponsorships and special events. Working closely with the executive team and the Board of Governors, she helped to establish GIA's development department. Johnston continued her work at the Institute in the Education department managing Career Services and it's staff by giving career counseling, planning the industry's largest bi-coastal Career Fair, and overseeing accreditation statistics. Johnston earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the California State University, Northridge with an emphasis is Public Relations/Multi Media. She has also completed courses with the Fund Raising School - Indiana University Center of Philanthropy, the National Society of Fund Raising Executives, and the Institute for Charitable Giving, as well as with the Gemological Institute of America. A mother of two, Johnston lives in Oceanside, California and works with her husband Joe in the family business, KEMCO - an electrical contracting company specializing in wind turbines, as well as doing real estate with Re/Max by the Sea in Carlsbad, CA.

Jerry B.

Jerry B. Silverman has over 25 years of experience in retail real estate. He began his career in 1972 as Real Estate Attorney for Richman Brothers Company. Subsequently Mr. Silverman began an eleven-year tenure with Walden Book Company, Inc. as Director Real Estate-Southern Region. He was promoted to Vice-President in 1982. Since leaving Walden Book Company, Inc., he has held the position of Vice-President of Real Estate and Construction for the Children's Place, Inc., United Retail Group, Inc. and most recently, Sweet Factory.

Mr. Silverman established the real estate consulting division of Silverman & Associates in January, 1998. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Ohio State University and a Juris Doctorate from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. He is a member of the Ohio Bar and an active member of International Council of Shopping Centers.


Joanna Herr-Hanks

Joanna Herr-Hanks is a board member of From Chrysalis to Wings Psychotherapy and Research Center and serves as Creative Director and is co-director of our A.W.O.L. Program. Joanna is a master in her field of photography and is proud owner of Herr Photography, Inc. in Encinitas, CA.

She is the recipient of the 2006 Outstanding Community Involvement Micro Business Award, presented by the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce.

In addition, she has earned her certification as a challenge ropes course director and facilitator. Because of her strong background in communication, teambuilding, and program design, organizations have invited her to work with high risk young adults. She eventually transferred her skills from working with youth to corporate programs.
